I have always been intrigued by the cookie shop Milk and Cookies but have never set foot in it. One day I was craving a good dessert but did not want to settle for ice cream since it was

freezing outside so I decided to check out Milk and Cookies and see what they had to offer. They are a completely nut free facility, substituting the usual peanut butter cookie for a sun nut butter cookie alternative. They also have vegan and gluten free options which I did not try but it should be noted incase you are in search for a dessert with those restrictions. I ordered a peppermint bark cooke, sugar cookie and a chocolate chip one. Each cookie is $2.50 which I thought was a reasonable price for the size and quality of them. I would not go out of my way to say these cookies were exceptional but they were not bad.
The peppermint bark cookie had a solid peppermint and

chocolate balance. The part of the cookie underneath the melting chocolate was nice and soft but the outer edge was a little stale. The sugar cookie was good, yet still nothing award worthy. The cookie was soft all throughout, unlike the peppermint bark cookie, and had some nice festive sprinkles. The chocolate chip cookie was okay. I personally like large, soft, more cakey chocolate chip cookies and this one kind of tasted like it came from a Nestle Tollhouse package. The environment of the cookie shop is cute and welcoming and the service was

quick.
My overall conclusion is that if you are in the Princeton area and want a cookie, Milk and Cookies is a solid and reliable location for a quick pit stop. If you want to be blown away by your dessert and have a unique and uncomparable cookie, Milk and Cookies probably should not be your first destination. I would give the place an overall 7.8/10 for service and reliability but points off for the quality and creativity of the actual cookies.
